The Big Bang Theory is my favorite TV show. It’s comical genius allows those of us who were/are considered geeks to have the last laugh. The characters are all so unique and funny even by themselves. Yet, when combined, the chemistry (pun intended) is magical. I am introducing them this evening because the entire cast will be on Conan O’Brien tonight celebrating the show’s 200th episode. That being said, you will read and see a lot about The Big Bang Theory and especially Sheldon Cooper on my blog.
The basis of the show if you haven’t seen it is this:
Leonard Hofstadter (played by Johnny Galeki) and Sheldon Cooper (played by Jim Parsons) are both brilliant physicists working at Cal Tech in Pasadena, California. They are colleagues, best friends, and roommates, although in all capacities their relationship is always tested primarily by Sheldon’s regimented, deeply eccentric, and non-conventional ways. They are also friends with their Cal Tech colleagues mechanical engineer Howard Wolowitz (played by Simon Helberg) and astrophysicist Rajesh Koothrappali (played by Kunal Nayyar).
